17 and Forever Inspired
I’ll never forget the day that I stood before Andrea Belvedere’s Vases de fleurs et fruits dans un paysage in the Louvre.
It's beauty was absolutely breathtaking, I remember it like it was just yesterday even though it's been years.
It's hard to put into words how it made me feel, despite there being hundreds of tourists around me, it felt like I was the only preson in the room.
While the Mona Lisa draws countless visitors, it was this piece of art that left an indelible mark on me, transforming not just my perspective on art but also my life.
The peaceful feeling it gave me has been a lasting source of inspiration.
That experience planted a seed in my heart. I thought to myself,
I want to create something like this someday, something that that brings a quiet pause, a breath of stillness, and a moment of peace.
Growing up in Boise, Idaho, I had always found solace in sketching and painting, pouring my heart into capturing moments of peace through art.
Whenever someone asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, my answer was always the same: an artist.
Over the years, I refined my craft through university-level painting courses and masterclasses, developing a textured, semi-abstract style that blends movement with serenity—inviting others into that same sense of peace I felt in the Louvre all those years ago.
That's why I created the Wings of Serenity collection to capture the stillness and wonder I experienced that day.
Each bird in this series carries its own meaning, symbolizing peace, freedom, and the beauty of letting go.
Through these paintings, I hope to share that same sense of calm and reflection, inviting you to pause, breathe, and find your own moments of serenity.

In the studio...
Birds have always symbolized freedom and grace, and through this collection, I wanted to capture their gentle beauty in motion.
My process for creating these pieces involves a semi-abstract and textured technique that I achieve using a palette knife and acrylic paint on cotton canvas.
I then add detailed work with many tiny paintbrushes, allowing each bird to come to life with depth and delicate precision.
I created Wings of Serenity for people who, like me, are searching for those rare moments of stillness in a busy, overwhelming world.
My hope is that these pieces bring you the same sense of calm, serenity, and quiet joy that they’ve brought to me.

About the artist
Braelyn, a Boise native, has dreamed of being an artist since she was a little girl. While balancing her role as a full-time Cyber Security Analyst at Stanford, she embodied a unique blend of right and left brain skills.
Braelyn honed her artistic skills through university-level painting courses, masterclasses, and countless hours of developing her signature semi-abstract, textured style. Her work embodies a deep connection to nature, designed to inspire tranquility and invite others to appreciate the beauty of God's creation.
Braelyn held her first art exhibition at The Village Meridian in November 2024, where her pieces captivated audiences with their fluid beauty and tactile appeal.
